Retail Banking Support Specialist

The Retail Banking Support Specialist specializes in providing exceptional sales and administrative support to Senior Management, Business Banking Officers, personnel within the Branch Offices, and the Customer Service Department.  This position interacts and communicates frequently with the above individuals to coordinate the response to referrals, leads and prospects, develop written proposals, coordinate the integration of new business clients, and to provide ongoing support to existing business clients.

This position performs a wide variety of general retail banking and branch administration functions including but not limited to scheduling of branch personnel, reallocation of staffing resources as needed to provide superior customer service and scheduling of training and other educational endeavors.  Additionally, this position reviews opportunities for training and education of personnel, recommends training and education initiatives, maintains associated records and interacts/coordinates frequently with Senior Management in the Retail Banking Department as well as in Human Resources.

The Retail Banking Support Specialist ensures that appropriate sales and marketing materials are supplied to the appropriate branch offices, departments and personnel and interacts/coordinates frequently with the Marketing Coordinator.

This position is also responsible for administration and record keeping associated with Business Cash Management “Sweep” services and the growth, development, administration and record keeping of the CDARS program and the “Money or Treasury Desk” concept.  This position retains primary responsibility for the customer contact and operational responsibilities associated with the CDARS program.

Position Qualifications:

Excellent verbal and written communications skills.  Must possess advanced verbal communication skills for frequent interaction between clients and coworkers.  Must also compose and respond effectively to email and written correspondence.

Comprehensive knowledge of the products and services offered by the Bank.

Comprehensive knowledge of Bank policies and procedures especially as related to transaction processing, the establishing of accounts, products and services, and the updating or changing of customer or account information.

Comprehensive knowledge of compliance and other regulatory directives including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering Program and the confidentiality and protection of non-public customer information.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Loan Servicing Assistant

The Loan Servicing Assistant will provide high quality customer service to customers, investors, and bank personnel for all loan products offered by Windsor Federal Savings.  The Loan Servicing Assistant will furnish information, answer questions, and perform specialized servicing tasks including monitoring delinquent loans and taking appropriate action to correct the delinquency.

The Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Responds to customer, bank staff, and investor inquiries or concerns regarding the servicing of an account and provides a quality response.
  • Researches problems and makes adjustments as required.
  • Monitors loan reports to identify and correct potential problems.
  • Processes daily investor payments to the proper investor custodial accounts.
  • Monitors the delinquency reports and takes appropriate steps to protect the bank’s assets.
  • Contacts and discusses delinquent status with all parties responsible for the debt by phone and/or written correspondence.
  • Reports delinquency information to investors and management; monitors charged-off loans.
  • Remits payments and reports to all loan investors.
  • Reconcilement activities as required.

The Position Qualifications include:

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent with 3-5 years mortgage loan servicing experience with a minimum of 2 years experience in the collection of delinquent loans or some comparable combination of education and experience.

  • Solid understanding of Bank on-line loan servicing systems.

  • Working knowledge of Secondary Market and Government guaranteed loan collection requirements, Private Mortgage Insurance company collection requirements, loan products, bank loan regulations, bank loan operating policies and procedures.

  • Proficient operation of a personal computer, teller terminal, Microsoft Software such as Word, Excel, Outlook.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, strong customer service orientation.

  • Able to maintain relationships that facilitate task accomplishment, to cooperate and resolve conflicts, to recognize needs and be sensitive to others, to convince and persuade.

  • Able to receive guidance and supervision and follow work rules and procedures, meet deadlines, punctuality, and attendance standards.

  • Able to work independently as well as in a team based environment.

  • Able to learn quickly with a strong attention to detail and problem-solving.
